Privacy Policy

GableGauge is operated by Gabelgaugedotcom LLC. Last updated: September 14, 2026

We earn money by selling access to authorized homeowner project leads. Read below to understand what information is included, who receives it, and how to control future sharing. Your Privacy Choices.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including account and company details, names, email addresses, phone numbers, project addresses, ZIP codes, roof details, estimates, photos, documents, preferences, notes, reviews, support requests, and payment-related records. We also collect device, browser, IP address, referral, cookie, analytics, consent, and service-usage information.

Why we use it

We use information to create accounts and project packets; calculate planning ranges; match projects by service area; provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve GableGauge; process payments; communicate with users; prevent fraud; resolve disputes; enforce our agreements; and comply with legal obligations.

How project information is shared

Approved contractors can see a limited, anonymous project preview. A preview may contain one homeowner-provided, non-identifying roof photo. Identity, street address, contact details, private notes, and remaining photos become available only after an authorized lead unlock. With the homeowner’s explicit authorization, a project may be released to no more than five participating contractors serving the project area.

Service providers and other disclosures

We disclose information to vendors that help provide hosting, authentication, email, analytics, customer support, storage, security, and payment processing. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, complete a business transaction, or at your direction. We do not provide full payment-card numbers to contractors.

Sale, sharing, and other third parties

Contractors pay GableGauge for project and contact information you authorize us to release. Categories may include your name, email, phone number, project address and ZIP code, roof measurements and material choices, project timing, budget, photos, and project notes. Depending on applicable law, this exchange may constitute a sale of personal data. Contractor access remains limited to the authorization presented when you submit the project.

We may offer an additional, optional program to sell or share specified contact, property, project, and interest information with other home-improvement providers, marketing partners, or data businesses for their own offers, lead generation, or market analysis. Before enrolling you, we will identify the actual recipient categories, information, and purposes and obtain a separate affirmative choice. Merely creating an account, accepting these Terms, or authorizing up to five roofing contractors does not enroll you in broader third-party sales. Existing records remain subject to the choices and promises under which they were collected. This policy is not blanket permission to sell everything you provide.

We do not authorize the sale of passwords, authentication tokens, full payment-card details, government identification documents, private company notes, or account-security information through these programs. Where a proposed transfer involves sensitive personal data, including precise geolocation where classified as sensitive, we will obtain the legally required specific consent before the transfer. We do not collect biometric identifiers for sale.

You may opt out of future sale or sharing, withdraw contact authorization, or request deletion through Your Privacy Choices or support@gablegauge.com. These requests cover applicable future transfers, not only marketing emails. A recipient may already possess previously authorized information; we will process applicable deletion and downstream-notification obligations. You may also contact recipients directly to stop communications.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction and consent records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention varies by record type. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, but no service can promise absolute security.

NOTICE: We may sell your sensitive personal data. This notice concerns project location information if applicable law classifies it as precise geolocation and the authorized paid lead transfer as a sale. It does not authorize unrelated sensitive-data sales; specific consent is required where applicable.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal data; opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; withdraw contact authorization; and appeal a denied privacy request. We may verify your identity before completing a request. Exercising a privacy right will not result in unlawful discrimination.

Cookies and analytics

GableGauge uses necessary browser storage and may use analytics or advertising technologies to understand visits, prevent abuse, and measure campaigns. Browser settings can limit some cookies, but essential features may require them. Where applicable law requires consent for optional tracking, it must be obtained before those technologies operate. Applicable recognized universal opt-out signals must be honored for sales and targeted advertising; you can also submit an explicit request through Your Privacy Choices.

Requests and policy changes

We respond within deadlines required by applicable law, explain permitted extensions or denials, and provide an appeal process. Authorized agents may submit requests where applicable law permits, subject to verification. We do not need your password to process a request. We post material policy changes with an updated date and provide additional notice or request new consent when required. A policy revision does not retroactively authorize new uses of previously collected information.

Children

GableGauge is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
