Who can review
GableGauge permits a homeowner to review a contractor only after GableGauge records a connection for that homeowner’s submitted project. A connection review may describe communication, professionalism, estimating, or completed work actually experienced by the reviewer. It must not imply completed workmanship when no project was performed.
Honest, independent feedback
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. Fake reviews, AI-generated accounts presented as customers, impersonation, coordinated rating manipulation, undisclosed employee or family reviews, and compensation conditioned on positive sentiment are prohibited. Any permitted incentive must not depend on the rating and must be clearly disclosed.
Moderation
GableGauge may remove content that is fraudulent, unrelated, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unlawful, privacy-invasive, contains confidential information, or violates this policy. We do not remove reviews solely because they are critical or assign a low rating. Reviews are individual opinions, not GableGauge endorsements.
Disputes
Contractors may report a review and provide relevant records. GableGauge may temporarily limit display while investigating authenticity or a policy violation, request additional information, restore compliant content, or remove violating content. We do not adjudicate construction disputes or determine legal liability.
Contact support and include the contractor, project, and reason for the report.
